Are you Prepared?
Emergencies can happen anywhere and anytime. And while we can’t always prevent them from happening, we can act now to reduce damage, injuries and loss of life.
That’s why it’s important to know how to prepare now and what steps to take to protect your home, business and community when emergencies threaten.
3 Important steps to prepare:
- Get a Kit: Keep enough emergency supplies on hand for you and those in your care-water, non-perishable food, first-aid, prescriptions, flashlight,, battery powered radio…etc
- Make a Plan: Discuss, agree on, and document an emergency plan with those in your care. Work together with neighbors, colleagues and others to build community resilience.
- Be Aware: Free information is available to assist you from federal, state, local, tribal and territorial resources.
